I have had a recent focus on engaging the community of employers in South Australia and generally to the benefits of Reservists in the Australian Defence Force who also are in the workplace. I am the immediate PAST Chair the Ministerially appointed Chair of a high profile COUNCIL of employers of Reservists. These wonderful people included, Police, Courts, Health, Building Industry, Emergency Services, Defence Industries and Community Welfare. This has been particularly rewarding and indeed challenging. I recent years have been invited to present workshops and seminars around the nation and internationally on the research I have done in Discourse Analysis and its impact on Community and Public Engagement. In 2012 I presented at the International Courts Administration Conference at the International Court of Justice in the Hague.This was on the problem and power of social media for Courts ( but it could easily be any taxpayer funded organisation) and in 2013 presented aspects of my work to the National State Courts Center in Williamsburg Virginia USA. Language and Life changing is my specialty. As a Discourse Analyst I review and reorganise communications so that they receive maximum impact and awareness. I am also able to decode information from seemingly simple textual materials.
